For the special disability area of our staff training program in ATArizona.com, we discuss LD and cognitive challenges that result from:

  1. Congenital cause meaning genetic (or inherited)

  2. Pre-natal condition, birth accident or childhood illness or trauma

  3. Adolescent or adult injury, disease or complication of other causation

  4. Psychiatric conditions such as mood disorder, emotional disorders and illness

  5. Substance abuse disorders

  6. Also discussed: medication issues in the workplace, alternative learning styles
