What is Assistive Technology for Ergonomics and Physical Considerations?

1. Use the "Skip Navigation" link if you use a screen reader program such as JAWS
(found on each website page at the top of the sidebar sections on the left)

2. Use high-contrast settings on your computer to view pages more easily if you have a vision impairment. Most browsers have a keyboard command to enlarge the text on the webpage. Simple enter Control and the Plus sign to increase font size. Tap as many times as needed to reach a comfortable viewing size. To return to a small size, use the keyboard command of Control and the Minus sign. For Mac users, instead of "Control" use the Command key.

3. All resource documents on ATAZ available online in standard size and many in a large print size. Some also have PDF and WORD documents available for download.

What AT resources are commonly-used for Ergonomic and Physical Considerations?

Ergonomic workstation
Sit/Stand computer desk - manual adjustment or powerlift desk with toggle controls
Alternative input keyboards - wave-style, standard keyboard with keyguard, Dvorak keyboard, etc.
Alternative input devices - touchpad or trackball mouse, joystick, ergonomic mouse, switches, etc.
Ergonomic chair with adjustments for back, height, armrests, wheel locks, etc.
Software for voice recognition
Headset with microphone for voice recognition text input and document navigation
